Bognor 10k frequently asked questions

How can I raise money for charity?


Use the Rotary Club of Bognor Hotham Official Sponsorship form that will be sent to you with your race number or you can download the form from the website. You obviously can raise sponsorship for any charity you wish, but if you are undecided why not consider raising funds for our charity partner - Frame of Mind




Is there a medal?


All finishers will receive a medal.




Is is possible to get a refund, defer or transfer my entry?


Unfortunately we do not offer refunds, deferrals or transfers for the Bognor Prom 10k. But rest assured your money has been used by our charity for a very worthy cause. The full terms & conditions of entry can be found here




When will I receive my race pack?


We begin shipping race packs in Mid/Late March and will ship the FINAL race packs by 2nd class post on Monday 11th May. Entry data is downloaed once a week and ent to the race pack team. Race packs are shipped in entry order. If you have not received your race pack by the 14th May please get in touch and we can arrange for the collection of a replacment number on the day of the race.




When will entries close?


We have a race licence for 2000 runners on the course on the day of the race. Entries will close based on the following conditions:

  • We reach 2300 entrants or
  • Midnight on Wednesday, 13th May 2020




How old do I need to be to enter?


Entrants must by 15 years or older. The Bognor Prom Fun Run offers a 1.5k run for children from 4-14 years old.




How much does it cost to enter?


The entry fees (inc. admin fees) are:

  • English Athletics Affiliated Runners - £19.00
  • Non Affiliated Runners - £21.00
If you are an assistance/support runner your entry is free please email us at bognor10k@tonezonerunners.org with the details of the runner you are supporting and we will provide you a discount code for your entry.




Can I enter on the day?


There are NO entries on the day of the race.




When will the results be available?


Your result wlll be sent to the mobile number you provided on your entry form. Results will also be available via a display screen in the race village. Initial results will be published in the local press the following week. Final results, after all timing queies have been resolved will be loaded to the website within 2-3 weeks.




What time does the race start?


The main 10k race starts at 10:30am. The Wheelchair & Disabled Race starts at 10:15am Please arrive in plenty of time for a good warm up and to also take your place at the start line.




Are there km markers?


Yes there are km markers placed on the course.




Are there pace makers?


There will be pacers for:

  • 50 mins
  • 55 mins
  • 60 mins




What time should I arrive?


The main 10k race officially starts at 10:30 am. The Wheelchair & Disabled race starts at 10:15am. Please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the start.




How do I enter?


Entries for the 2020 race are now open. Please click the Enter button on the homepage.




I have entered but have not received my race number?


We START shipping the race packs/numbers from Mid/Late March. Please note the following:

  • Race Packs/Numbers are shipped in entry order.
  • We have up to 2300 to manage so we DO NOT combine race packs/numbers for entrants at the same address (or with the same surname) you will receive separate race packs that will NOT arrive together.
If you have NOT RECEIVED your race pack, with number, by Thursday, 14th May then please get in touch again and we can arrange for a replacement number to be collected on the day of the race.




Can I wear headphones during the race?


The Bognor Prom 10k road race is run under UKA Rules and runners are advised NOT to use headphones during the race. You need to be able to hear any instructions given by the race marshals.




Can I run with a Buggy, Baby Jogger or Baby Stroller?


Running with a Buggy, Baby Jogger or Baby Stroller is not permitted. However due to an increasing number of requests the Race Committee will be looking into the race risk assessment and our positon on this for the 2021 race.




I am an assistance/support runner for an entrant how do I enter?


If you are an assistance/support runner your entry is free please email us at bognor10k@tonezonerunners.org with the details of the runner you are supporting and we will provide you a discount code for your entry.




The entry link doesnt work for me, How do I enter?


In some cases, the link may be blocked by a firewall particularly if you are trying to access the site from a work PC/Device or you are on a corporate network. You can try the alternative link below to enter. If this doesnt work from your work computer/device then it is being blocked by your network.
