St Wilfrid’s Hospice is your local community hospice, dedicated to caring for people with life-limiting illnesses in Bognor Regis and the surrounding local area. Their expert teams provide free-of-charge palliative and end-of-life care on the 14-bed Ward, out in the community at patients’ homes and at the Hospice’s Living Well Centre; a purpose-built rehabilitation centre, which offers a welcoming space where patients, carers and loved ones can access a range of social activities, support and complementary therapies. At any one time they are caring for an average 340 people.

St Wilfrid’s takes a person-centred approach by carefully listening to the needs and wishes of each individual cared for, ensuring the best possible quality of life is enjoyed for as long as possible. Every person who comes to them is treated with dignity, compassion and skill. Their multi-disciplinary Clinical Team has a diverse range of expertise, focussing on areas such as pain relief, symptom management, rehabilitation - as well as emotional and practical family support, including counselling and help with bereavement.

They are also proud to be leading in clinical advancement. Many of their nurses are trained as non-medical prescribers, which means they can adjust medication right away without having to wait for a doctor. They also run a full Education Programme, teaching healthcare professionals from across the region - GPs, care home staff, paramedics and students - helping to raise the standard of end-of-life care for everyone, not just their patients.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice is a local, independent charity that relies on the generosity of supporters. Without the ongoing support of the community, local people simply wouldn’t have access to the care they deserve.
