My Sisters' House Women's Centre believes every woman and girl has the right to live free from fear, abuse and violence. Yet every day, women in our communities experience domestic abuse, sexual violence, coercive control, exploitation, and trauma, often hidden behind closed doors. The reality is that domestic abuse touches every community, every workplace and every social circle, whether we realise it or not.
For over 12 years, My Sisters' House has been a lifeline for women across West Sussex. As local specialists, we support around 2,000 women each year through practical, emotional and therapeutic services, including domestic abuse advocacy, counselling, wellbeing support, recovery programmes, housing and homelessness advice, criminal justice support, and help to rebuild confidence, safety and independence.
We know that change is possible. Lives can be rebuilt. Futures can be transformed.
Our vision is a world where women and girls are safe in their homes, safe in their workplaces, safe on our streets, and free to live the lives they choose. Achieving that vision requires all of us. Women and men alike have a role to play in challenging violence against women and girls, speaking out against abuse, and creating communities where safety, respect and equality are non-negotiable. Together, we can help unlock safety, freedom and opportunity for this generation and generations to come
